Causeway traffic now: Woodlands and Tuas
Singapore has two road crossings into Johor Bahru. The Causeway at Woodlands Checkpoint is the shorter, busier route into JB city centre, fed by the BKE. The Second Link at Tuas Checkpoint is further west, fed by the AYE, and often moves faster when the Causeway is jammed.

How do I check the Causeway traffic right now?+
The camera tiles at the top of this page show the latest LTA traffic camera frame for each direction at Woodlands (the Causeway) and Tuas (the Second Link). LTA refreshes these cameras every few minutes; tap the refresh button, or the page does it by itself every five minutes.
What does Singapore to JB traffic look like today?+
Use the two "SG → JB" tiles: at Woodlands the camera looks along the Causeway towards Johor, and at Tuas along the Second Link. A queue that reaches back onto the bridge or the expressway approach means a long wait before immigration. Friday evenings and the eve of public and school holidays are when Singapore-to-JB queues are usually longest.
What about JB to Singapore traffic?+
The two "JB → SG" tiles show traffic arriving into Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints. Northbound and southbound peaks are different: JB-to-Singapore is heaviest on weekday early mornings, when commuters head to work, and on Sunday evenings and the last day of a long weekend.
Can I see the JB customs (BSI) queue here?+
No. These are Singapore's LTA cameras, so they show the Causeway, the Second Link and the Singapore checkpoints, not the Malaysian immigration complex at Bangunan Sultan Iskandar or Kompleks Sultan Abu Bakar. A long queue on the Causeway heading into Johor is usually the best available sign of a slow clearance on the Malaysian side.
What does the travel time next to each camera mean?+
It is LTA's estimated driving time along the expressway approach — the BKE for Woodlands, the AYE for Tuas. It does not include the time spent queuing on the bridge or clearing immigration, which is why the camera image is the better guide to how long a crossing will actually take.
Do I need a three-quarter tank of petrol to drive into Malaysia?+
Yes, for Singapore-registered cars. Under the Three-Quarter Tank Rule, Singapore Customs requires Singapore-registered cars leaving through Woodlands or Tuas to have at least three-quarters of a tank of fuel, and drivers who do not can be fined. Top up before you join the checkpoint queue.
